Too true. My brother and sister saw that "paradigm shift" in the early 60's, and told me the same thing in the mid 70's, but I saw for myself how big money bullies young people into their corner, with the promise of unattainable things.
That's all mass media does anymore. It tells you what businesses want you to hear. Just like school teaches you to trust authority and follow instructions, at the direction of teacher's unions and the government - a sleeping public is far easier to control. Nostradamus' predictions of a decades long "big sleep" has become another fact of life.
