well..i'd say he's as close as you can get to the cartoon.
I don't mean to bash you on this matter...but I am NOT very excited about this movie.
For one...he's right...DBZ was all about the muscles and the happy go-lucky boy growing up to the ultimate optimistic warrior that is Goku.

your right they changed a lot about the story and characters... Guku is actually supposed to be like 7 in Dragon Ball.
Oh, and I just saw Speed Racer. I loved it! especially the end or what you would call the " black moment" when he starts remembering what every body said while he was racing it was really cool!
He looks exactly like Goku.
