Oh...hell...the....fuck...no...

I was...fuck that... AM still a huge dragonball(z) fan. I loved the series and almost everything about it.
This...well...no. Just no. It looks like it's trying to appeal to the wrong audience...new young kids only looking for action and nothing related to any of the backstory of the actual series.
I agree with you on the fact that this can only be good or very very horrible. I vote for the later...

it's...interesting...I didn't expect them to approach things from that angle. I understand that it is borderline impossible to effectively translate anime characters into human actors, but they could have made them look a bit more similiar to the real characters.

This could turn out being very good...or it could BOMB...either way, as a DBZ fan...I have no choice but to see it.

Perhaps it would be best to go into the theater with a relatively open mind...as in see the movie from the perspective of someone who knows nothing of the anime.

to that effect, if we don't expect certain things, maybe we won't be as disappointed.

on a final note...it's nice to finally see a real trailer.

Woohoo, a Dragon Call in modern time! Something new this is, apart from the main character not looking two shits like Goku it does seem like a promising movie, not to talk about the other characters (well, Piccolo & Yamichu do have a slight resemblence) . Anyhow, will watch it when it comes out.

Why would they even bother trying to make this movie with real actors is just ridiculous. But the dbz crack feinds will smoke it up as long as its got their favorite little characters that they can't stop jacking off too. lol

I already know this movie won't be great, but I'm going to go in with a clean slate - trying to ignore everything I know about DBZ and look at this movie as its own separate thing. I think it's going to be completely hilarious to a DB fan. Kinda ...uh, what? to a regular non-DBer, but pretty funny to us.

Justin Chatwin's a terrible actor, he's lost the character of Goku completely, Master Roshi's got hair and no glasses and he's not perverted, Bulma's a badass, Oozaru is...weird, no Krillin, Piccolo isn't green... so much - that you HAVE to try and ignore it.
