A move made for people who know how movies work. You astablish the humaness of the characters. An Interaction between them that you adore. Then whatever you do to the characters actually maters. You've given the movie heart!
Because of the these moments. The scary moments actually scare ...the thrilling moments actually thrill
Do you recall a children's book called "The Borrowers"
Now Ghibli has a re-envisioned sequel that leads to a somewhat darker theme for the dying race of little people.

I've been trying to remember that movie forever -so it last when I was like five. I thought Arthur and the Invisible's was some typa remake.

Stephen Spielberg hasn't made a good alien film since E.T.
From what I heard...this is essentially an E.T. movie with Transformer's ridiculousness special effects.
It's good emotionally, but has that intense action.

I'd be the first one to admit that Transformers is ridiculousness, but because it soly relies on the FX. the FX are amazing! the movies are shallow.
We cant start calling every movie with amazing visuals shallow .....intense action is good no?
This movie wasn't thee greatest movie, but it stands out as an actual movie in the mist of a whole bunch of money making effex reels.

Also Stephen Spielberg just produced it ...JJ Abrams wrote and directed it! :D I LOVE that guys work! ...besides cloverfield ..yuck :P
