I ama big fan of medical anatomy atlases. They put things visually in a way that demands your respect. Anatomy is a 1000 year old subject that many people sacrificed an awful lot to progress. I still think that it's extraordinary that back in the middle ages people were willing to risk everything for the science.
One of my professors started out illustrating for medical atlases. He was awesome. As respect to progress of anatomy in the middle ages.. o_o I never really thought about that.
I am so sorry...but your anatomy artwork reminds me of this piece of beautiful ass.

hey, that's great! how many hours would you say you have spent a day getting to this point?

1hr a day. Of directed study. First study proportions and structure of the body.

Also Gottfried Bammes is an enormous artist in anatomy! I'd say his best english book is "Complete Guide to Life Drawing"
Second Practice, learn to do quick and loose drawings of the human figure. (warning) they will almost always look crappy. But the more you do it the more your hand and mind get used to drawing the human form.
