The last sip of hot chocolate's usually waaay too sweet. I agree that a series needs a beginning middle and ending, to be complete works.
lol, I was debating using the hot chocolate metaphore or a cold drink on a summers day. But for the sake of expression (I have fond memories of the winter). And to me that sweet part was always the best.
